MODI CABINET TAKES A BIG DECISION, A NEW SCHEME LAUNCHED FOR FARMERS
The Center's Modi government has only a few days left to complete four years. So on the occasion of the fourth anniversary, the government has taken some important decisions to make farmers' income worse by 2022. Apart from this, 20 new ames hospitals have been announced in the country. All these decisions have been taken at the Cabinet meeting today. A budget of Rs 33,273 crore has been kept for the Green Revolution Agricultural Upliftment Plan by 2019-20.
The announcement made to sugarcane growers
For the remaining payments to sugar mills, the farmers have been allowed to produce a product linked subsidy. Under this scheme farmers will get a subsidy of 5.50 per quintal under the production linked subsidy to provide relief to sugarcane growers. A decision has been taken in the Cabinet meeting. Let me tell you, the Group of Ministers recommended this subsidy. It is worth mentioning that the remaining payment of sugarcane growers has reached Rs 19,000 crore.
This big decision taken in the Cabinet
- The cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday in the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Some important decisions have been taken for the farmers in this meeting
- Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the Cabinet has taken some important decisions to double the farmers' income by 2022.
- He said that 11 schemes of different schemes of the Department of Agriculture, which were running earlier, will be brought to the Green Revolution Krishnastra Yojana.
In this, the central budget has also been increased.
Apart from this, a special scheme will also be implemented for the minority majority districts for the welfare of the minority community.
- In the past 196 districts were coming, but now 308 districts will come.
- Three airports will be upgraded under the scheme. Lucknow, Chennai and Guwahati airports will be upgraded.
- Up to 5000 crores will be spent on upgrading all three airports.
- The price of sugarcane 5.50 will be given directly to the farmers. Modi government has also approved the decision of Is of Doing Business.
