On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are returning after a two-year ban. Retention can be done in two ways. One retention and second right to match (RTM) Under the RTM, the teams will have the option of retailing the player for the auction, which has been sold in Players' Auction. For this, the team has to spend the same amount of money in which it is auctioned. If a team decides not to retain the player and purchases another team in the auction, then the first team can get that player using RTM. Just have to pay as much money as the player has sold.
